I’d met many of my husband’s friends from the construction world, but I knew Dan was different from the first moment I met him. That great big smile, welcoming hug and cheeky sense of fun made him my unassailable favourite. He was a kind, considerate and genuinely caring man as well as the ultimate fun bunny – always up for the party. At festivals, he couldn’t bear to see people struggle to put a tent up and had to go over and help, returning with a big grin on his face saying he’d just made new friends. The love and respect he showed for Ayesha and Joy was there for everyone to see. If he loved you, he’d never shy away from telling you, and you would reciprocate. I’m missing you already Dan and I can’t quite believe that you’re no longer with us. I’ll never forget you, you were a truly beautiful soul.
